There is a difference between sitting in the dark and waiting for the dawn.
There is a difference between saying, “What in the world is going on in my life?” and “What is God doing in my life?”
There are many things I cannot change in my life at the moment. And there are more than a few that come as a bit of a shock. Like an infestation of bees into my backyard as I sat on the porch this week and watched with my jaw dropped.
There are things that I hope will happen, but they are not happening right now. I am waiting for the dawn.
So I choose to receive what is happening, and do what I can in the meantime.
In the midst of the bees, I had paint, ink and card. So I decided to paint bluebirds flying up my daughter’s fabulous pink bathroom wall.
Bees?! Evidently. But also, Birds.
And after a day? The Bees left.
